|
|
I need some advice:
I am using Red Hat Enterprise edition (Client release 5.2 (Tikanga)) and it came with Glade 2. I am trying to upgrade to Glade 3: downloaded the package from the
glade site. Upon ./configure it turned out that I need to upgrade gtk as well,
and when I tried to upgrade that it required further and updates of the components.
How could I do the upgrade with the minimal steps (avoiding manual upgrade of each dependencies)? Is that possible?
I am not a linux systems guy, as you can see...:(
Thanks Peter |

| Upgrade to a newer Linux OS I guess, you'd have a lot less pains. |

RedHat Enterproze ed. does not upgrade often. It may not have the latest and newest stuff but the stable ones. sysadmins don't want their machines to upgrade every few months. That's why they use RHED.
So I am stuck till the next RHED comes out.. damn.
