| I guess it is suggested before, too. But I think there is not enough messages yet to divide them. Dividing each language into its own category will cause tens of categories with only 4-5 messages which would not look good. |

Yes, this has been thought over long and hard. The thinking for keeping all languages grouped into a "Programming" section is to allow everybody to post/answer questions that transcend the language in which they are programmed in. If somebody were to post a GTK+ problem with C++, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Mono, etc. source code, I can usually help because quite often the problem is with understanding the GTK+ library and can be explained quite easily since other than syntax, GTK+ is implemented in each language in much the same manner.
Thanks for the suggestion, they are always welcome. |

I agree in keeping all languages grouped into a single programming section.
There are very few if any C++, Perl, PHP, Ruby questions.
Mono "GTK#" Has there own forums.
C & Python get they most attention but Python question fail in comparison to C related questions.
If there is a demand for Python tutorials i have no problem hunting them down and adding them to Gtk+ Tutorials & Resources. |
