Theres a few guys that are posting in all categories of the forum and the text is like unreadable?

Hi.

I wouldn't say that these guys are posting but spamming. The text in main part of the post is irrelevant. There aim is to convince people to click one of the links and take them to the kingdom of porn, cheap drugs and viruses.

Yes, this is spam. I have some span filters and I also *typicall* stop by every morning to manually delete spam and ban the posters. But, it's been a busy week. I'll catch up now.

Spams are getting more every day, maybe you can turn on manual admin approval? And you should consider updating the forum software (into phpBB 3 or maybe another forum software)...

Maybe some more moderators or a button for trusted users to report posts in violation of GTK+ FORUM rules. And if say 5 trusted users flag a post/topic then it would be removed.

It will also encourage spamming as rather than post sensible comments youll get loads of rubbish posting just to get their quota up.
